Types of METI Japan Internships:

In-person Internships in Japan

The METI Government of Japan Internship 2024 offers in-person placements at small to medium-sized enterprises in Japan, excluding non-profit organizations, industry associations, and local governments.

Online internships:

These will be conducted remotely from the intern\\\'s workspace, under the supervision and direction of the host company.

Eligibility Criteria for the METI Japan Internship Program 2024:

The program is open to students or professionals with advanced skills who are nationals of any of the eligible developing countries. You can verify your country\\\'s eligibility here.

• Applicants must align with the program\\\'s goals and be willing to collaborate with Japanese businesses to support internationalization and business development efforts and to network with overseas universities.
• Proficiency in English or Japanese is required.
• Applicants must be between 18 and 40 years old as of August 31, 2024.
• A letter of recommendation from the current or graduated company or university, along with an enrollment or graduation certificate, must be provided.
• Applicants must be able to complete the necessary training and participate in the internship at the assigned company in Japan.
• Previous participants of the METI internship programs from FY2016 to FY2023 are not eligible.
• Applicants must adhere to the schedule set by the JIP office for the METI internship.
